Regulation 2026
OPENING OF RIVER FISHING ADVANCED BY 15 DAYS: rdv Saturday, March 07, 2026

1-DAY AND 2-DAY CONSECUTIVE MEMBERSHIP CARDS = NO KILL “FLY AND LURE” COMPULSORY:
From 2026, only the annual all-techniques card will allow you to keep rainbow trout and fish with natural bait.
FULL NO KILL ON BROWN TROUT ON THE WHOLE COMPANY:
2023 marked the switch to catch and release (no kill) for fario trout on all runs. 2024 is the year of the complete and enforced end to the use of “fish farm” fario trout. Fario trout will only be restocked by hatchery rearing, troutelle rearing and natural reproduction, aided in particular by the installation of aleviboxes on streams.
2026 marks the ban on fishing with natural bait on the Petite Amblève = FARIO zone (points 1 to 5).

IN-WATER FISHING PROHIBITED THROUGHOUT THE CREEK ZONE UNTIL MARCH 31ST INCLUSIVE:
With the fishing season starting 15 days earlier, it is necessary to protect the spawning grounds in our creek zone, and so fishing will be prohibited in the water from the first Saturday in March to March 31 inclusive. This concerns the Warche at point 6 in Bevercé, the Warchenne, the Rechterbach and the Eau Rouge from points 18 to 20.
SETTING UP REST PERIODS FOR FISH BEFORE AND AFTER COMPETITIONS:
Total closure of the company’s courses 2 days before each competition up to and including 2 days after to give the fish a little respite.
RANGE OF FLOW RATES FOR OPTIMAL FISHING :
Petite Amblève: 1m³ to 4m³ at Lasnenville. Hydrometry in Wallonia – Height
Warche: 1m³ to 6m³ at Malmedy. Hydrometry in Wallonia – Height
Amblève: 1m³ to 9m³ at Stavelot. Hydrometry in Wallonia – Height
PS: when water is released from the Bévercé hydroelectric plant, an additional 2 to 3m³ flows directly into the Warche; this extra water mass takes 3 hours to reach the Amblève at Stavelot.
AUTHORIZATION TO HARVEST EXOTIC CRAYFISH WITH THE NO KILL CARD:
As exotic crayfish are pests, their harvesting is authorized under the terms of the Walloon Region permit.
STILL RELEVANT:
COMPULSORY SINGLE HOOKS:
The use of double or triple hooks is now prohibited on all of our “river” courses. Each line can be fitted with a maximum of 3 single barbless hooks.
